Structural design of screw pump

Screw pump, as a kind of fluid conveying equipment widely used in various industrial fields, the importance of its structural design can not be ignored.

1. Main structure of screw pump

Stator: The stator shell can be made of cast steel and stainless steel, and the internal rubber material is nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR), EPDM, fluororubber (FKM) and so on.

Rotor: Rotor can be divided into hollow and solid two, at the same time has a single head, double head, multi-class specifications, rotor material alloy steel hardening, 304 coating, 316 coating, duplex stainless steel and so on.

Coupling rod: The coupling rod is the connecting part between the rotor and the drive shaft, and the two ends are inset with alloy bushings to increase the wear resistance and extend the service life of the pump, and there are many types and materials to choose from.

Drive shaft: The drive shaft is connected to the output part of the motor, and the shaft of the reducer is inserted to bear the entire operating load, and the material has a variety of options.

Seal assembly: The main function of these components is to support the screw and maintain the stability of its rotating motion, while preventing the leakage of the liquid being transported. For the material selection and design of these components, wear resistance and corrosion resistance should be fully considered.

Gear motor: Gear motor can be selected from Germany NORD, SEW or domestic well-known brands.

2. Key points of structural design

Optimize the rotor shape: according to the actual needs, choose the right rotor shape to improve the efficiency of the pump. For example, for a viscous medium, a larger pitch and a shallower spiral Angle should be selected.

Precise fit clearance: The fit clearance between the stator and the rotor has a great impact on the performance of the pump. Too much clearance can lead to increased leakage, while too little clearance can lead to overheating and wear. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure the appropriate fit clearance through precision machining and measurement.

Material selection: Select the appropriate material according to the characteristics of the medium and working conditions to ensure the reliability and life of the pump. For example, for high temperature or highly corrosive environments, it may be necessary to choose materials that are resistant to high temperature or corrosion.
